What is Icynene® spray foam made of and how does it work?

During the application process, Icynene® spray foam begins as a liquid before expanding from its original size to up to 100 times larger. Following this, the foam sets and hardens to form an airtight seal.

What is the difference between open and closed cell Icynene® spray foam?

There are two forms of Icynene® spray foam: open cell and closed cell.

Open cell Icynene® spray foam is suited to residential projects in roofs and lofts. It is a flexible, adaptable spray foam with a soft, open cell structure. This type of Icynene® spray foam is made up of larger air pockets, creating a breathable building structure.
